30 Days of Being Thankful

Today begins the first day in the month of November. We have gotten this far by God's grace and I'm truly "thankful". We all know that this month we celebrate the holiday called Thanksgiving. This is the time of the year where we think about our lives and the people and things that surround us. We should be thankful every day of our lives, but in this challenge we are going to put a little effort into really being thankful.

This challenge is called the "30 Days of Being Thankful" challenge.  You will take a note-pad and daily you will write down the things that you are thankful. As your start your challenge in your journal, really explain why you are thankful for that particular item. For example:

Day 18: The ability to be in my right mind.
I take for granted being able to understand my right from my left. My hands from my feet. The idea of being able to take care of myself. I am thankful for being able to understand and comprehend of life's daily activities.

Don't write all of your items down all at the same time. It's 30 days to participate in this challenge. At the end of the challenge, put your note-pad in a place where you can go back to review. Going back over what you have written, is always a good reminder. We all have bad days and they can trump over being thankful. But if you don't allow the bad to take over, then you won't have anything to worry about.

So today, I challenge you to start this 30-day challenge with me. You will be amazed at what things come to mind of what you are thankful for. Also, ask your family if they want to participate. It would be a nice thing to find out what everybody is thankful for.

My Day 1: I am thankful for another chance. Each day when I arise, I thank God for the opportunity to get it right AGAIN!! I just pick myself up and start over again and make sure I get it right next time.

Until next time, I'm off to give thanks!
