Reconnecting is Major!

This past weekend was a great reconnecting weekend with my husband and me.  It had been a while since we were able to enjoy each other and just get some things out there on the table. It was key and it felt so damn good to be connected to my husband again. We were both missing it and we have vowed to ourselves and God that it would not happen again.

This is something that is needed in every marriage. Time. Effort. Admitting to wrongdoing. Understanding. Comforts. Love. Affection. We are so caught up in everyday life that we can go on for months and in some situations, years, not being connected with our spouse and not even know it. It just becomes "how we live life". But, that is NOT how we are supposed to live life; especially while being married. It's not fair to your spouse. It's not fair to you. It's not fair to God (since He did ordain marriage). It's not fair to the family. It's not fair to the marriage.

If you and your spouse have to sit down and schedule a date/getaway to make this happen, DO IT! Nothing is more important than making sure that you and your spouse are back on the same page and making it work. A marriage is not supposed to be boring. A marriage is not supposed to be at a pause. A marriage is not supposed to be stale.

Bring back the spice.

Bring back the attention.

Bring back the bonding.

Bring back the love.
