A Healthy Lifestyle Can Be Good for Marriage

Now, the title doesn't say go and be skinny to be comfortable and perfect for your husband. No, it says a healthy lifestyle! There is so much that can go about having a healthy lifestyle. Healthy doesn't always mean having a great physical appearance. But it can also mean, having a positive mind and a great amount of energy. I didn't have the opportunity to grow up in a household, that the mom and dad were together. But my husband did. He had both of them to show him what a marriage and a family looks like.

Here are some things that can help with a healthy lifestyle to benefit your marriage.

1) Exercising.
Yeah, you knew that this one was going to be first. Now, I'm not saying that you have to go off and become the perfect model shape. But add in at least 30 minutes to your daily activities to do some type of exercising. It could be walking in the park. Going up and down steps. Arm rotations. Leg lifts. Or even dancing. Whatever it is, add it to your daily schedule.

2) Have energy.
Now, I'm not telling you to go on and on and on like the Energizer Bunny. But, have enough energy so that you can give your spouse the due time he deserves. You don't want to seem lazy, tired, or always having an excuse as to not talk, hang, or have sex with him. A dull girl makes a dry desert.

3) Drink water. 
Sounds crazy?? Well, think about it. When you don't drink water, you are dehydrated, tired, feeling sluggish, and sometimes irritable. Water flushes out the toxins in your body. 

4) Communication 
Talking to your spouse is VERY healthy for the marriage. There is a big difference in talking to and talking at. Many marriages don't have the best communication level in their marriage and that is not safe. You never want to feel like you can't communicate with your spouse. If so, then this is the perfect time to start. 

5) Be adventurous. 
Go walking together. Go hiking. Take a boat ride. Do something that is outdoor and will take both of you to put effort into doing. Try new things. This is great for the marriage because if you get used to doing the same thing in the marriage, it becomes a drain and damper. 

6) Be great examples for the child(ren).  
If you have children, then you know this is KEY! Your child(ren) are looking at you and dad to be that perfect example to them for when they get older and get married. Every parent wants to hear their child(ren) say "my parents showed me the right way to a great marriage". 

These are just some key things that can help you to a healthy lifestyle for your marriage. Remember, a happy wife makes a happy they say! :-)
